Follow this steps :
1 method
- Make sure your phone is fully charged.
- Backup your contacts list and personal files.
- Switch on your phone.
- Press and hold these three keys together :
- Dial key
- Sharp key [ # ]
- One key [ 1 ]
- Press the power on/off to switch off the S60 phone.
[Do not let go the three keys until you see the “formatting” screen displayed]
- Wait a few minutes until the format is complete.
2 method
- Before you format your phone, make sure you back up all your contacts and contents. Use the Nokia PC Suite.
- After that, key in *#7370# *#7780# .
[It will immediately prompt you to restart your phone.]
- Select Yes and the phone will restart after formatting.
Wait 2 to 3 minutes to complete the process.
- Wait a few minutes until the format is complete.
By do it yourself, you can save your money. You don’t need to send your phone to get repaired somewhere and being charged for the cost.

- Make sure you're not using memory card password protection, because you can lose access to data stored on memory card after formatting.
